Classification of general high voltage load break switches

What is a high voltage load break switch?

The high voltage load break switch HV LBS is an electrical appliance whose function is between the high voltage circuit breaker and the high-voltage Disconnecting switch. The high-voltage load switch is often used in series with the high-voltage fuse; it is used to control the power transformer. The high-voltage load switch has a simple arc extinguishing device, so it can switch on and off a certain load current and overload current. However, it cannot disconnect the short-circuit current, so it is generally used in series with a high-voltage fuse for short-circuit protection.

2. Classification of general high voltage load switches

2.1. El-level universal load switch: a universal load switch that is suitable for normal continuous feeding of power distribution systems and does not require frequent opening and closing operations.

2.2. E2-level universal load switch: a universal load switch that does not require overhaul or maintenance of the main circuit breaking components, and other parts only require little maintenance during the expected service life.

2.3. E3-level general-purpose load switch: a general-purpose load | whistle switch with the ability to frequently open and close large currents and close short-circuits at relatively high frequencies.

2.4. M1 class universal load switch: a universal load switch with a mechanical life of 100 times (operations).

2.5. M2 class universal load switch: universal load switch for special occasions with extended mechanical life of 50 times

3. The universal load switch with rated voltage below 40.5kV has the following breaking and closing capabilities:

(1) The rated active load breaking current is equal to the rated current;

(2) The rated no-load transformer breaking current is equal to 1% of the rated current;

(3) The closed-loop breaking current of the rated distribution line is equal to the rated current;

(4) Rated cable charging breaking current and rated line charging breaking current, see the table below;

(5) The rated short-circuit making current is equal to the rated peak withstand current.

such as FN7-12, FN5-12, FN7-24, FN5-24, FKN12, FN18,,,, for 12KV, 24KV, 36KV LBS
